This role is part of Global Planning & Analysis (“GPA”), the global organization chartered to support the business with a timely, accurate and complete sales forecast, product allocations and sales analysis. GPA is organized by region: Americas (6 people), Europe, Australia and New Zealand (5 people) and Asia (7 people). Next to this a Sales & Reporting team of two people support the sales channels and our own team with periodic sales reporting, dashboards and other reports to support us in our work.

Position Summary

The business analyst will be part of the Global Planning & Analysis Europe team and will be based in Maastricht (The Netherlands).

The primary responsibility is to support our sales channels in forecasting, product allocations and sales analyses. The business analyst will be part of a team of three business analysts. The business analyst will primarily support our European wholesale channel. The business analyst will also own analysis for one of our three product line of businesses (i.e. Audio for Video, Wireless Speakers and Wireless Headphones).

The business analyst’s primary goal is to drive a timely, accurate and complete forecast to improve forecasting accuracy for wholesale. The business analyst needs to work together closely with the sales team, marketing teams and European supply chain to make sure that all activities that impact sales are included in the forecast.
A secondary goal is to optimally allocate products in times of scarcity to the channels and accounts. The third main responsibility is to support wholesale and sales teams and a product divisions with analyses to identify risks and opportunities.

The above requires close and strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders located in different locations across Europe. The business analyst must be able to work with a wide variety of information from marketing calendars to sell through information to information shared in different meetings.
The person needs to be well organized and needs to stay on top of changes.

Performance Objectives:
- Forecasting
- Review and update core product forecast for wholesale channel and
accounts with business partners
- Review prior month forecasting accuracy with business partners and
explain deviations
- Create forecasts for new products and prepare detailed launch plans
by business unit and account
- Create promotional forecast, drive promotion approval process and
include promo in forecast
- Participate in monthly sales forecasting meetings and the monthly
forecasting consensus meeting with Supply Chain Management and -
- Channel Management to agree on consensus forecast
- Maintain Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for sku set-up, pricing and
return rates
- Provide IBP support and act as the IBP product owner to support and
guide future enhancements and manage change allocation
- In times of product scarcity work together with Supply Chain -
- Management to optimally allocate products across channels and
accounts
- Sales Analysis
- Support channels with analyses to identify risks and opportunities.
- Support the product divisions with product analysis for Europe to
identify risks and opportunities

Experience
The person in this position has a proven track record in delivering business analysis in an international product company.
Education and Experience

· Bachelor/Master in Business or Economics
· At least three years’ experience in an analytical position
Key Skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication in English and
Dutch
· Analytical: Needs strong analytical skill set to work using
different sources of information
· Strong personality: Able to listen, influence and negotiate
with primary business stakeholders
· Self-motivated, self-starter and ability to work independently
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Solid Knowledge in one or more of the following areas
· Sales & Operation Process / Supply Value Chain
· SAP (knowledge of SAP IBP Preferred)
· Forecasting
